    The latest artist to contribute to our mix series, Rhadoo, comes from a time where access to music was anything but instant. You couldn’t just tap in any DJ’s name into Google and instantly be able to hit play on their back catalogue of works, or just head to an online portal and be fed a string of audio to whet your palette if you hadn’t gotten as far as figuring out who you actually wanted to listen to yet. Today we are situated in a world where every effort is made to make sure information is on every possible platform available, if it’s not there it’s almost as if it doesn’t exist at all. It didn’t used to be that way, we’re always hearing tales of lament over the good days past where people actually gave a damn and made the effort. With everyone shouting so loud there is something quite profound in the actions of those who purposefully mute their promotion and let the faith in dedication to music let the real appreciators gravitate themselves towards their output and happenings. Just like the good old days, those lost values come back into play and there’s something inspiring when you really think about it.     RHADOO: Born in Galati in 1975, he was among the first generation of DJs to pop up after the revolution—inspired by DJ Vasile and Vladone. The elusive Rhadoo made his debut as a dj in 1995 at Club (A) and Studio Martin in Bucharest. His eccentric style and personality have since earned him a reputation as a world-class dj, not only in his home country, but as far as the Berlin Love Parade, East Power in St.Petersburg,Russia and DC10 in Ibiza. He is a legendary figure—and is, in many ways, the orchestrator of everything that has developed from the Romanian underground scene since.

    Music productions naturally followed and Rhadoo's first release on Luciano's Cadenza Records was instantly praised for its unique blend of dub and seductive techno, quickly becoming a staple track in the sets of DJ Koze and Karotte. Along with his friends Pedro and Raresh, Rhadoo is a member of the Romanian techno label and performance powerhouse [a:rpia:r], responsible for several high-profile releases including DJ Sneak's 2010 smash "Delta Trippin" as well as nurturing new talents Boola and Dan Andrei. Now with regular headlining appearances at worldwide Cocoon and Cadenza events, Sunwaves festivals as well as at top clubs such as Robert Johnson, Fabric and Panor
