An exploration in art and photographs of the life and world of Anna Christina Olson, whose haunting figure and captivating coastal Maine home became the subject of one of the most famous paintings in American history. This is an oversized book measuring approximately 10.25" by 13". A RARE first edition, first printing with correct full number line sequence. This is an absolutely beautiful copy with the book itself in near perfect condition. Aside from some slight browning to the pages and a smudge on the lower textblock edge, it is exceptionally clean with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are clean, flat, and true with just a hint of wear/soiling to the gold cloth boards on the lower edges. Dust jacket is clipped, but the price remains intact ($90.00). The jacket also has a hint of browning and some general wear/scuffing, the worst of which is some cracking along the foreedge of the front cover and a small tear to the bottom corner of the same.
