Quái vật ngôn từ, kẻ hủy diệt logic, người điều khiển cảm xúc, chúa tể của những điều ba chấm,… đó là bộ truyện này trong suy nghĩ của mình. Phải nói đây là bộ seinen độc đáo nhất về mặt hình thức và nội dung mà mình từng đọc từ trước đến giờ.
Về hình thức, “Bên dưới cây cầu Arakawa” gồm 15 tập với 15 style bìa và font chữ tiêu đề khác nhau, nhìn vào giống 15 cuốn truyện từ các bộ khác nhau chứ không ai nghĩ là chúng lại cùng một bộ. Cách phối màu của từng chiếc bìa đều rất đẹp và hút mắt, mang những nét riêng của từng nhân vật xuất hiện trên bìa. Art bên trong không quá xuất sắc nhưng lột tả được biểu cảm khuôn mặt nhân vật và khi đọc rất có cảm xúc, đáng nói là các tập về sau thì art càng được cải thiện và đẹp hơn các tập trước. Nếu Kim Đồng làm bộ này cứng cáp hơn thì đã ăn trọn 100 điểm hình thức từ mình rồi, nhưng tiếc là không, truyện hơi bị èo uột và mềm quá. Đổi lại thì postcard tặng kèm mỗi cuốn đều đẹp long lanh lung linh.
